What did Jesus mean when in "Matthew 16:28 (KJV)?

What did Jesus mean when He said this: "Matthew 16:28 (KJV) Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."?

— Wisdom (Ghana)

It means what it means, that is, some of His disciples who were standing with him while he was saying this would, before they die, actually see Him, "In His glory/royalty/dominion" (that is what the Greek word for "Kingdom" used there means).

This was fulfilled just about 6 days after when, in Matthew 17:1-5, Jesus' disciples—Peter, John and James—who were there when Jesus made this promise, saw Jesus glorified in power as He was transfigured. Jesus looked just as Psalm 104:2 describes God in His splendour: "The Lord wraps Himself in light as a Garment" (Psalm 104:2). Compare that to Jesus:"His clothes became as white as the light" (Matthew 17:2).
